Centre for Online Programs focuses on finding avenues to connect our online students with each other and with us. We planned “Meet Your Batchmates” event on 29 th October 2022 through offline platform in the University campus in Chennai. The purpose was to give the online students a memorable day in their lives where they are physically present to interact with their peers, to strengthen their bond with them, and also to forge new relationships. For students who could not attend the event due to distance and time we live streamed the event so that they connect with their colleagues through virtual mode. The participants were Online Students from July 2021 and Jan 2022 Batch. The event provided an opportunity to the online students to showcase their talents, break ice and build bridges to connect closely with the institution and their peers. Cross cultural interaction and exchange of professional ideas enhanced their exposure and learning. The Campus was abuzz with excitement and people from different walks of life, different cultures, regions, and languages interacted with each other, showcasing the beautiful unity in diversity of our great country. There were activities like motivational speech given by an expert, a session on life skills & emotional intelligence, industry talk on employee engagement and fun filled activities like Quiz, Games, ice breaking sessions etc. to enliven the program. The excitement and energy of the students made it all worthwhile and we were delighted to receive excellent feedback from students. We hope to do many such Meets in the future!
